ROBOCAMP FOR TEACHER
Every year, in January or February, Compass Education and it’s partners hold an annual Robotics Training Program for Educators. It is a free program for all teachers as part of our company initiative to empower educators in the fiels of STEM education.
This annual Robotics for Training Program for Educators aims to:
a. Support the initiative of the Department of Education (Dep Ed)as well as the Departmemt of Science and Technology (DOST) towards the promotion of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM)
b. Develop critical thinking , collaboration, problem solving and creativity
c. Enable teachers to explore various robotics platforms and languages
Who can join the Program ?
✓ All public and private Elementary and Secondary School Teachers
✓ Limited slots of 30 teachers per training program. Registration is made on-line at www.mycompassedu.com on a first come first serve basis.
How to join ?
✓ The annual program is open for registration in December. A link will be availble at this page.

What to bring:
All materials such as Robotics Kits will be provided for by Compass Education. However, it is best that teachers bring their own laptops or one shared laptop for three teachers. This is not a requirement but it maximizes participation.
✓ Laptops with a screen resolution of 1024x768 or more.
✓ Software willl be installed at the site for free
Robotics Platforms to be Explored
✓ Lego Mindstorm EV3 with Lego Mindstorms EV3 Programming
✓ Arduino Uno with Arduino IDE
✓ Raspberry Pi with Python
✓ Certificates of Completion
✓ Snacks and Lunch
✓ Handouts and materials
✓ Kits and laptops will be provided by Compass Educations
Each Program can accommodate only 30 participants. Should there be less than 30 participants, the training will be rescheduled. The teachers will be alerted through email and text. Training begins at 8:00 am and commences at 4:30 pm with a lunch and two snack breaks
