Robocamp for Educators and Enthusiasts


This Robotics Teacher Training Program aims to:

  1. Support the initiative of Department of Science and Technology and the DepEd Division of Cebu City towards the promotion of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) among all learners.
  2. Enhance critical thinking, collaboration, problem solving and creativity through Robotics
  3. Promote areas in the STEM field to encourage students to become future engineers, scientists, innovators and inventors.


The training is open to:

  • All public and private Elementary and Secondary School Teachers
  • Limited slots of 60 teachers per training program. Registration is made on-line at on a first come first serve basis.

What to bring:

All materials such as Robotics Kits will be provided by Compass Education. However, it is best that teachers bring their own laptops or one shared laptop for two teachers. This is not a requirement but it maximizes participation.

Robotics Course Training Package

  • Three day (8 hour) sessions per batch with a minimum of 60 participants
  • Arduino Kit (For Hands-on Activities)
  • Certificate of Participation/Completion


Training begins at 8:00 am and commences at 4:30 pm with lunch and two snack breaks.


Batch 1 April 25, 26 and 27, 2018

Batch 2 May 8, 9 and 10, 2018


P3,600 per teacher inclusive all materials , 2 snacks and lunch daily

How to Join

  2. A confirmation email will be sent within 24 hours to the registrant with information on where to make payments
  3. The registrant has 3 days to make payments. Payments can be made in 2 ways:
  1. Compas Education Center at Unit 7 Plaza Nouvelle, E. Benedicto St., Cebu City
  2. Metrobank account

If payment is made through the bank, please scan and email a copy of the deposit slip

  1. Once payments are completed and verified, an email will be sent out to the registrant acknowledging his/her completed registration as well as relevant information about the program

The Robo4Ed Training  course is headed by Mrs. Ana Martinez Quijano, MA Ed., OTR/L..  director of Compass Education, a non-stock, non-profit institution that promotes STEAM education in Cebu City Philippines.  Mrs. Quijano  has worked extensively in Orange County  and Texas USA for years as a school-based Occupational Therapist as well as a licensed educator. She has spearheaded numerous school programs in general education as well as special education.

The facilitators are Mr. Donald Dungog and Engineer Jonathan Cartilla, who are pioneers in bringing Robotics here in the Visayas Region.  They have extensive experience winning numerous Robotics competitions here and abroad. They recently won 1st place at the National Level of Philippine Robotics Olympiad and represented team  Philippines in last  year’s competition in Doha, Qatar where they ranked 10th place, beating numerous countries.
