Teacher Ana believes in the genius of every child. She dedicated her life to education has been working in this field for the past 20 years. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy and a Masters Degree in Education. She has worked in several school settings here and abroad. She has many certifications including one for the future of education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
She stumbled upon STEM education while looking for avenues where her high functioning autistic students could improve their visual motor and fine motor skills. As she investigated this subject further, she realized that it does not only make Science and Math come to life, it also develops the much needed 21st-century skills such as creativity, innovation, collaboration, and critical thinking. These skills are vital as they are needed in every profession to succeed. Thus, she decided to shift her teaching and therapy to develop these skills which turn out to be great life skills as well. She works as an educational consultant and is also currently the Director of Compass Education, a non-profit company dedicated to boosting STEM education and 21st Century Learning Skills in the Philippines.
